Kinu is a ceremonial blend produced in Kakegawa, Shizuoka, Japan. It is grown using the region’s GIAHS-certified Tea-grass Integrated System, following the Chagusuba method, where rice straw is applied across the fields to regulate light exposure and support stable, sustainable cultivation. This traditional system is recognised internationally for its agricultural precision and long-term maintenance of soil and plant health.
The name Kinu (絹), interpreted conceptually rather than literally, represents refinement, longevity, and disciplined craftsmanship. It reflects a mindset of continuous improvement — a daily practice where clarity and precision matter. Kinu is created with that philosophy in mind: a matcha aligned with routine, progress, and steady personal standards.
Kinu is available in 30g and 100g formats.
